Retail Admin Controller (2IC)

Well established national retailer are looking for an experienced applicant to join their dynamic team.

The Admin Controller (2IC) serves as the second-in-command in the administration department, supporting the CAO in managing daily operations, overseeing administrative functions, and ensuring efficient office management. This role requires strong leadership skills, organizational capabilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Support:
  • Assist the CAO in strategic planning and implementation of administrative policies.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  1. Team Leadership:
  • Supervise and mentor administrative staff, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance.
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote professional development.
  1. Financial Management:
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring of departmental expenses.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and expense reports.
  1. Communication:
  • Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present reports on departmental performance to the CAO.
  1. Process Improvement:
  • Identify areas for improvement within administrative processes and recommend solutions.
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  1. Compliance and Governance:
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for auditing purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in an administrative role, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of office management procedures and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
