Code 14 Driver with Crane Experience (Boksburg)

Salary: Market-related (commensurate with experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a Code 14 truck to transport goods to and from various locations.
• Utilize a crane for loading and unloading goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure the truck and crane are in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and any other relevant documentation.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations while operating the vehicle.
• Ensure cargo is properly secured and protected during transportation.
• Report any vehicle or crane malfunctions or accidents to the relevant authorities and management.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Assist with other tasks as needed, including general maintenance of equipment and assisting with site operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid Code 14 (EC) driver’s license.
• Valid Crane Operator Certification or experience in crane operation (preferably with a Mobile Crane).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a truck driver with crane operation experience.
• Good understanding of safety regulations related to truck and crane operation.
• Excellent driving record with no major traffic violations or accidents.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions carefully.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work long hours when necessary.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
