FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT CBD, Western Cape (Hybrid work model)
R360K to R420K Per Annum Negotiable and based on Qualification and year of relevant experience
REPUTABLE GLOBAL CONSULTING FIRM is currently expanding their dynamic and highly efficient Finance team.
Main Purpose of the Role:
The core responsibility of the role is to process transactions and liaise with business or project leads. The role is exposed to both local and international entities.
This role will report to the Finance Team Lead (CFO) the team adopts a flat structure with all members reporting into the CFO. The role is supported by the Senior Accountants on a day-to-day basis.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Processing all accounting transactions in line with the IFRS principles
- Engaging with project managers and working closely with project teams in processing project income and expenses withing company timelines
- Generating Sage reports and summaries for internal use
- Supporting the business function with a quick turnaround and clear communication regarding queries for processing
- Assist in the preparation for audits and reviewing audited financial statements
- Assist in Work in Progress calculations as required
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Financial Qualification
- 5 Years experience as a Senior Bookkeeper / Junior Accountant within a multi-national
- Solid and proven MS Excel working knowledge and skills
- Exposure to Sage System - advantageous
- Exposure to Power BI beneficial
- Sound working knowledge of accounting practices and principles, IFRS and Companies Act
- Knowledge and prior exposure to international entities, foreign currency and inter-company transactions
- Demonstrable knowledge of Value Added Tax and other tax legislative requirements locally, and in international jurisdictions
