Hiring: Call Centre Agent
Job Location: Tuesday to Thursday (Midrand) and Monday and Friday (Sandton)
Job Type: Permanent Full time Monday - Friday

Salary: R8000 - R10 000

Job Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Call Centre Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls, providing customer support, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring that each customer interaction is handled professionally and efficiently.

As a Call Centre Agent, you will play a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction and promoting a positive company image.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle inbound and outbound calls in a timely and professional manner.

Provide accurate information about products, services, and policies.

Assist customers with product inquiries, complaints, or service-related issues.

Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing effective solutions and services.

Document customer interactions and transactions accurately in the database.

Process orders, refunds, or service requests as required.

Escalate complex issues to the appropriate department or supervisor.

Meet or exceed performance targets such as call handling time, customer satisfaction ratings, and issue resolution.

Follow company procedures and guidelines for handling calls and customer issues.

Maintain knowledge of company products, services, and promotions.

Participate in ongoing training and development sessions.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or certifications in customer service is a plus).

Previous experience (1 – 2 years) in a call centre or customer service role is preferred.

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet.

Ability to handle difficult or irate customers in a calm and professional manner.

Basic computer skills and ability to use CRM systems.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

Bilingual

Knowledge of call centre technology (e.g., telephony systems, CRM software).

Working Conditions:

Office environment.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

Regular monitoring of performance metrics.

Working hours Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00

Must have own transport with a valid drivers license

Willingness to work in rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays, ONLY if required.
