Operations Manager (Expat)

Our client is looking for an experienced and strategic Operations Manager to oversee and optimize poultry production, manage key operational functions, and drive business growth. This role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and industry expertise to ensure efficiency, quality, and profitability.

• Plan, oversee, and enhance poultry production and quality standards.
• Manage personnel, hatchery, and breeder farms to maximize chick production and quality.
• Ensure effective marketing and sales of all day-old chicks.
• Develop and grow the customer base through strategic marketing and promotion of products.
• Take responsibility for sales, marketing, and achieving set revenue targets and budgets.
• Strengthen brand positioning and awareness in the market.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including government officials and commercial farmers.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, hygiene, health, and nutrition standards.
• Monitor and maintain hatchery and breeder farm facilities, ensuring optimal operational efficiency.
• Oversee decision-making processes, delegation of responsibilities, and team development.
• Provide technical and production expertise to commercial and small-scale farmers to drive sales growth.
• Analyze business records, monitor market trends, and adjust production planning accordingly.
• Develop and execute business strategies in response to changing market conditions.
• Represent the organization at industry events, public forums, and official meetings.
• Prepare reports, budgets, and forecasts for senior management.
• Monitor raw material pricing, demand fluctuations, and adjust selling prices accordingly.
• Implement performance measurement and control systems to ensure operational efficiency.

• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
• Expertise in hatchery management and poultry breeding.
• Financial acumen, including margin management, cost control, and cash management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinking and innovation in business policy and development.
• Ability to manage relationships with stakeholders, including government officials.
• Experience in import and export logistics (advantageous).
• 5 to 10 years of experience in the poultry breeding industry.
• Proven experience in operations management, sales, and marketing within the industry.

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
