Minimum requirements:

  • Matric
  • Drivers license and own car is required
  • BCom Degree/ Diploma in Finance (Payroll)
  • 3 – 4 years’ payroll experience for companies with 500+ employees on a weekly payroll.
  • 1 – 2 years’ Sage 300 payroll experience.

Duties:

Controlled Payroll Administration
  • Assist with the successful payroll management of all the entities in the Cavalier Group.
  • Assist with the successful processing of ± 1100 wage employees and ± 450 monthly employees over various company rules.
  • Successful and timely distribution of payslips on time to staff on the different payroll types.
  • Manage and maintain JEM payslips for all staff.
  • Develop and maintain ERS system for accurate payment of wage hours.
  • Ad hoc tasks and reporting as needed from time to time.
  • Reporting on specific measurables (wasted hours etc) as needed from time to time.
  • Handle employee enquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Supporting Administrative tasks within the Payroll & HR department such as UIF Documents.
Month End Payroll Processing
  • Oversee that any queries pertaining to payroll are resolved to satisfaction.
  • Oversee and prepare month end payroll journals within 2 working days after the last working day of the month.
