Data & BI AMS Lead

Role Overview:
The Data & BI AMS Lead will be responsible for overseeing the management and support of data and business intelligence (BI) platforms within a managed services environment. This role involves managing end-to-end service delivery, leading support teams, ensuring SLAs are met, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in data and BI technologies, combined with proven leadership and client management skills to support a large-scale AMS (Application Management Services) program.
Key Responsibilities:
- AMS Service Delivery Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Data & BI AMS team, ensuring the effective delivery of services in alignment with defined SLAs and client expectations.
- Manage the end-to-end incident, problem, and change management processes, ensuring timely resolution and communication.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, managing escalations and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of BI developers, data engineers, analysts, and support staff, providing guidance and support to achieve project and service delivery goals.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging knowledge sharing, skill development, and continuous learning.
- Technical Oversight and Best Practices:
- Provide technical oversight and guidance in data architecture, ETL processes, data integration, data warehousing, and business intelligence reporting.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in data management, BI development, and IT service management (ITIL).
- Service Improvement & Optimization:
- Identify opportunities to optimize service delivery, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the value provided to the client.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging automation, process re-engineering, and innovation in data and analytics services.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
- Build strong relationships with client stakeholders, understanding their business needs, and ensuring alignment with service delivery.
- Communicate service performance, improvements, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership and clients.
- Financial & Contract Management:
- Support financial management, including tracking budgets, forecasting, and managing service-related costs.
- Collaborate with sales and account management teams on renewals, extensions, and identifying new opportunities for value-added services.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in data and BI technology management, with at least 3-5 years in an AMS or support services environment.
- Proven experience managing service delivery for data and BI solutions, such as data warehouses, ETL pipelines, BI platforms
- Demonstrated expertise in IT service management frameworks (ITIL) and agile methodologies.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in data platforms, SQL, cloud-based data services ( Azure Preferred), and BI tools(MS PBI Preferred).
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, data integration, and data governance.

- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead diverse teams.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and expectations.
