Financial Manager

Job & Company Description:

Youll play a key role in consolidating group companies, handling taxation, and supporting month-end processes to ensure seamless financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
• Assist with annual external financial audits.
• Capture vendor and debtor invoices on CargoWise and SAGE.
• Reconcile vessel agency accounts, vendor accounts, and finished jobs.
• Resolve queries with supplier and customer accounts.
• Perform general ledger reconciliations at month-end.
• Manage taxation calculations and submissions.
• Consolidate financial results across group companies.
• Maintain weekly cash flow forecasts and ensure banking payments are processed.
• Oversee compliance with SARS licenses and industry subscriptions.
• Maintain functionality and accuracy of CargoWise systems.
• Handle any ad-hoc tasks required by management.

Experience & Skills Required:

• BCom Accounting or related qualification.
• 5+ years experience in financial management, preferably in maritime/logistics.
• Proficiency in CargoWise and SAGE systems.
• Strong knowledge of financial reconciliations, audits, and compliance.
• Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
