MATERIAL PLANNER

(Packaging, chemicals, raw materials, contract manufacturers)

JOB PURPOSE: Co-ordinate the movement of Inventory (raw materials, packaging components and finished products) in line with the overall goals and objectives of the department.

Duties:

Obtain quotations and generate purchase orders for all components/chemicals/finish goods

Request order confirmations from suppliers and ensure that delivery dates are acceptable and prices are accurate.

Expedite purchase orders to ensure that all deliveries are received on time, in full at the relevant locations.

Follow up on all administrative issues related to material shortages, corrective action reports, samples requested.

Report on any problems/potential problems related to supply of any material.

Plan production at Contract Manufacturers Reconcile inventory at contract manufacturers on a monthly basis

Manage stock levels at contract Manufacturers

General admin, filing and maintaining of records

Adhere to all Policies and procedures

Qualifications:

Grade 12 and a Diploma in inventory management or procurement management

Two (2) years experience as a buyer/expeditor in pharmaceutical industry

Experience with inventory management

Package: Market related + benefits per month depending on experience and qualifications.
