IT Support Consultant

Qualification:

• Matric
• IT Qualification in A+, N+ or similar preferred
• Prior experience in IT support, networking, or system administration is preferred
• Strong Junior IT Technicians with basic skills are encouraged
• Familiarity with IT systems, troubleshooting techniques, and network management (LAN, basic firewall knowledge is a bonus).
• A willingness to learn and contribute to the team.
• Ability to effectively communicate and assist end-users with technical issues in a clear, professional manner.

Responsibilities and Experience:

• The IT Support Technician is responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues to ensure smooth operations.
• The role will perform system maintenance, including installing updates, troubleshooting problems, and optimising performance.
• This function includes but is not limited to:
• Provide day-to-day support to users on IT hardware, software, and network issues (including printers and basic software troubleshooting).
• Assist with setting up and maintaining IT equipment and systems.
• Support network monitoring and help resolve connectivity issues.
• Perform regular system updates and patch management.
• Assist with maintaining accurate IT records, including inventories and network maps.
• Occasional visits to national offices for scheduled

• Ensure systems are maintained in accordance with security best practices.
• Assist in maintaining IT documentation and user support resources.
• Assist with IT equipment levels and the ordering of new equipment as well as the maintenance of current equipment.
