Financial Accountant CIMA/CA - Gauteng

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Assist in preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local regulations (UK and South Africa).
• Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Analyse financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with auditors during financial audits and implement any necessary recommendations.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and uphold ethical standards.
• Assist in the development and improvement of accounting systems and processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Completed CIMA / CA with articles.
• Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar financial role with exposure in United Kingdom / South African markets.
• Proficiency in accounting software Xero / CORE.
