Operations Manager

Our client is seeking an Operations Manager to join their team in Tanzania. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of our client's company. You will ensure that projects are executed efficiently and effectively, achieving the set goals. You will manage a team of professionals, monitor planning and budgeting, and collaborate closely with other departments and external partners.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate daily operations.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve project objectives.
• Oversee project execution, including scheduling, quality, and budget management.
• Optimize work processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule and oversee machine park maintenance.
• Report to the management on project progress and outcomes.
• Train and develop team members to improve their skills and performance.
• Stay informed about sector developments in Tanzania and respond strategically.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in earthworks or infrastructure.
• Willingness to relocate to Tanzania for a minimum of 2 years.
• Relevant MBO, HBO, or university degree.
• Proven experience in budget management and process optimization.
• Knowledge of Swahili is an advantage.
• Knowledge of the local market and regulations is a plus.
