What will you do?
  1. Administration and Support of recruiting and contracting of new STi agents

o Liaise between SFA Recruitment Officers and Uyanda Development Managers to assist co-ordinating Sangro activities and processes

o Support the Development Managers with setting up, co-ordinating and scheduling recruitment activities and appointments with prospective STi Advisors

o Liaise and communicate between SFA Recruitment Officers and Incubator Development Managers to ensure that the requisite pre-screening of all

o Check / follow-up on the completeness and correctness of the different contracts for newly appointed STi Advisors

o Co-ordinate and facilitate with DRPA and Santam for the timeous capturing and issuing of the various codes for new Advisors

o Liaise and co-ordinate with the placement area (i.e.: BlueStar) to facilitate the smooth transfer of the new Advisor to the area

  1. Administration and support of Vesting, training and development of new STi agents
o Understand and be able to answer administrative/support queries for the STi Advisors on the vesting plan and supervision contract that will need to be

o Co-ordinate arrangements and appointments for Development Managers to do field visits to the advisors within the field for vesting and supervision

o Update Advisor files and keep record of all Development Managers findings and feedback after field visit

o Using the Incubator development plan and supervisory contracts assist the Development Managers with the process of checking that detailed records and

o Liaise and work closely with the different training providers (Santam and Sanlam Academy) to co-ordinate the different training workshops as well as

o Ensure a detailed record is kept per advisor for all training attended, assessment results
  1. Monthly payroll processing
o At month end, work with Finance, Capital Software and DRPA to ensure that the correct remuneration is paid to STi Advisors
  1. Sales support
o Dealing with escalated client queries (e.g. claims and reimbursements)
o Assist with arranging training interventions on business unit level
o Assist with arranging unit (Uyanda) meetings
o Weekly communication on production dashboards
o Escalate and support policy queries on behalf of the advisers and the Development Managers

o Manager and service Orphan clients when an advisor exits the programme

What will make you successful in this role?

Qualification & experience
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Relevant STI qualifications (Fit and proper requirements)
  • Minimum of 3 years in a broker servicing environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Santam Tied Agency (STA) role in Sanlam advantageous

  • Relevant Short Term Insurance qualifications: RE; Accreditation Category 1.2 and 1.6
  • STi administration and processes knowledge
  • Relevant regulatory legislation and compliance knowledge (short term insurance specific)
  • Payroll / Recruitment / Commission payment processes and procedures
  • Basic recruitment, contracting, on-boarding, training and vesting process knowledge
