JOB OBJECTIVE:

The sales representative’s main objective is to secure sales through various channels by:

  1. Implementing sales initiatives.
  2. Building networks and relationships.
  3. Being professional, knowledgeable and customer-centric.

JOB PURPOSE:

  • To sell fire detection, gas suppression and voice evacuation systems within the specific geographical area.
  • To sell the servicing and maintenance of fire detection, gas suppression and voice evacuation systems.
  • To make use of cold calling, personal visits, networking and other sales strategies to develop new customers.
  • To ensure continuous growth and maintain relationships with customers.
  • To compile sales reports and tracking of sales through the Company’s information system.
  • To achieve the sales goals as established by the Sales HOD and GM from time to time.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The sales representative will be required to do sales within the Western Cape, focusing up to an 70km radius from that of Cape Town CBD. We refer to this geographical area as our Standard Service Area (SSA).

The representative will perform site and client visits and gather necessary information for quotations and proposals.

You will have to expand the current customer base by establishing new relationships within the area, as well as, help to maintain our valued customers.

By utilizing your past sales experience in the sales industry, you will proactively identify, pursue and maintain constant pipeline of potential customers via prospecting, networking and referral activities within the SSA.

The person must be motivated, flexible, well-spoken and presented, ability to learn quickly, adapt as quick to changing environments and ambitious with hunger for success.

The relationships development will be with consulting engineers, property owners, project managers, large scale national and blue-chip customers.

Your time allocation fer new installations versus servicing of existing systems will be expected at an 80/20 % ratio.

Remuneration:

Basic + Commission + RA Contribution + Travel Allowance
