JOB SUMMARY AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sales Admin & Support is responsible for administratively supporting National Sales Manager: Livestock. This function includes but is not limited to the following:
- Assist in administrative tasks relating to the quoting of general stock and non-stock items. This will include working with Procurement clerk in procuring of such stock.
- Work closely with the National Sales Manager: Livestock in obtaining and building of Sales Intelligence Reports.
- Plan, organise, Attend and take minutes of all scheduled Sales Meetings.
- Support accurate control of the Technical SCR Register in co-operation with the Service Administrator and Service Controller.
- Ensure adherence to the Employer’s credit and sales policies.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet the Employer’s standards.
- Assist National Sales Manager: Livestock and the General Manager of Plasson South Africa in compiling project packs for submission to projects office on Retrofit Projects and New Projects, that meet the standards and minimum requirements of the Employer’s policies.
- The preparation of comprehensive sales quotations for house account customers & competitor accounts, but not limited to only these customers.
- Accurate capturing of orders for house accounts and competitor accounts.
- Ensure maximum stock availability through liaison with the other operational departments of the Employer. With regular feedback to the National Sales Manager: Livestock on stock and procurement situations.
- Provide information and forecasts to the procurement and warehouse departments as and when required.
- Participate and help plan and execute set tasks in all local, regional or national trade shows as required by Management.
- Report on competitors by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, competitor strategies and merchandising techniques.1.1.14 Maintain product and technical knowledge.
- Attend to any ad hoc task and instruction and all general support to the Livestock Sales team.
Kempton Park Head office, and such other locations or destinations as determined by the Employer from time to time.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports to: National Sales Manager: Livestock. Support him across all Livestock regions.

- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Computer literate in Windows, Pastel, MS Office as well as any other software owned or used by the Employer.
- Customer focused and action orientated.
- Strong Administrative and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all operational levels of the Employer as well as with suppliers and customers.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage more than one plan or task at a time.
- Ability to demonstrate a passion for products and customers.
- Willingness to travel if necessary.
- Ability to speak and understand Afrikaans.
- Matric Certificate and a National Diploma or bachelor’s degree in administration or business administration and/or relevant qualification.
- Relevant experience in customer relations.
- Experience in administration and sales team support.
- Financially literate and astute.
- Experience in Sales Reporting, minute taking and Feedback Report Writing
- Preferred relevant experience with, and in-depth technical knowledge of i Plass, Stienen and Plasson products and/or any other products supplied to customers by the Employer.
Pay: From R20 000,00 per month
