Procurement Specialist / Buyer Bellville Cape Town

Our manufacturing client in Bellville Cape Town is looking for a Technical Buyer / Procurement specialist with 5 years plus solid experience. You will be responsible assessing raw material / stock / products.

Min Requirements

Matric with tertiary education in Supply Chain or procurement

Up to 5 years’ experience coming from a raw manufacturing process environment

Extensive knowledge of ERP systems

Be technically strong in the sense of codes and specifications

Responsibilities

Responsible for sourcing goods and other

Perform research on different products and services

Analyze the cost of procuring and selling the product

Monitor inventory and negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors

Perform procurement coordination including strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management and risk management.

Implement trading agreements/protocols

Appraise vendor manufacturing ability through on-site visits and measurements.

Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.

Manage product quality – ensure product meets the original purchase.
