Country Manager - French Speaking

We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Director, Strategy and Business Development to lead the growth efforts of operations across Africa. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the commodities sector, demonstrating exceptional strategic vision and the ability to drive business growth in diverse and dynamic markets.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans to expand business activities on the African continent.
• Identify and evaluate new market opportunities and partnerships to drive growth and profitability.
• Conduct market research and analysis to inform strategic decision making.
• Oversee the development and execution of business plans and initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective implementation of strategies.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners and customers.
• Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities and industry developments to stay at the forefront of the industry.

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of African markets and the cultural, economic and regulatory specificities of the region.

Qualifications:

• University degree in business, economics, management, or related field; an MBA would be an asset.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, including a significant portion in the commodities sector.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing large-scale business strategies.
• Experience in managing complex projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Multinational specializing in the agricultural sector.
• Experience in a similar position in Africa between 8 and 12 years of experience.
