Our Client, a Global Financial Services concern is seeking a dynamic Paraplanner to join their team of professionals.
One would describe you as being a highly organised, hands-on and seasoned individual who possesses excellent analytical and problem solving abilities.
You are a strong communicator who places particular emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail and is able to work independently.
Further to this you have good time management skills, ability to meet deadlines and an in-depth financial product offering knowledge.
Job Purpose:
As an experienced Paraplanner, you will provide support to the Senior Private Wealth Manager in the development and maintenance of client financial plans.
Your work will provide detailed research, analysis of clients financial circumstances, and preparation of financial planning recommendations and reports. This role does not include case preparation.
Minimum Requirements:
- Senior Certificate, Relevant Diploma/Degree, or an equivalent qualification
- Certifications: First Level Regulatory Exam for Representatives (RE5); First Level Regulatory Exam for Key Individuals (RE1)
- Minimum 5 years experience paraplanning, financial planning and/or advising
- Detailed knowledge of the South African financial market in the advisory space
- Detailed knowledge of the South African providers
- Knowledge of the offshore providers is advantageous
- Strong understating of financial planning concepts and strategies
- Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
- Fluency in Afrikaans would be advantageous
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Senior Private Wealth Manager in the research and analysis of the client's financial situation, goal, and objective
- Responsible for all-around financial planning, estate planning, investment research, product/solution recommendations
- Prepare and compile financial analysis reports, including cash flow analysis reports, investment projections, retirement planning and risk management
- Develop comprehensive financial plans that meet clients needs and objectives
- Make use of internal financial planning software to create scenarios and projections
- Ensure compliance with financial legislation and regulations throughout the financial planning process
- Support the Senior Private Wealth Manager to review clients' files and identify planning opportunities
- Work closely with service providers to understand products
