Job Purpose
The Internal Sales Manager is responsible for leading the internal sales team to ensure efficient sales operations, exceptional customer service, and consistent business growth. This role will oversee the quote and order process, build strong client relationships, and work closely with other departments to meet and exceed company goals.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and lead the internal sales team to achieve performance targets.
- Ensure sales quotes and orders are processed accurately and promptly.
- Follow up on quotations and maintain active engagement with clients.
- Build and manage client expectations to foster long-term relationships.
- Collaborate with the Managing Director and other leaders to develop sales strategies.
- Support the external sales and production teams with necessary information and coordination.
- Participate in pricing strategy discussions to support growth and competitiveness.
- Drive improvements in internal processes and customer service delivery.
- Identify market opportunities and contribute to new business initiatives.
- Establish and strengthen relationships across departments.
Minimum Entry Requirements
Education:
- Matric Certificate (required)
- Leadership or management training (beneficial)
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience leading a team of 3 or more people
- Proven track record of managing and growing internal sales teams
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to maintain key client relationships
- Experience working in a technical or industrial sales environment is advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Valid South African driver’s license
- Fluent in English (Afrikaans and other languages beneficial)
- Willingness to travel occasionally, if needed
- Strong leadership and team-building skills

Authority & Decision-Making Scope
Financial:
- Authority to issue quotes and process sales orders
- Lead the internal sales team in alignment with executive leadership
- Additional responsibilities and authority may be granted based on performance and demonstrated capability
