Laminator Operator

Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled Laminator Operator to join our client’s team, a leading manufacturer of high-quality polyurethane products. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to contribute to a dynamic production environment with a company known for its excellence and innovation in the industry.

• Control the production process to meet customer specifications in terms of quality and quantity
• Start the heater system and laminator machine according to procedures
• Ensure correct materials (facings and spacers) are used as per the order
• Refill pentane following set guidelines
• Assemble and install required components (e.g., rakes, spacers) for smooth operation
• Collaborate with the Production Supervisor and other Laminator Operators
• Assist the Production Supervisor with paperwork and investigations regarding production rejects or customer complaints
• Record and report any spillages to the Production Supervisor
• Stop the process if issues arise and inform the appropriate personnel
• Adhere to PPE and safety protocols as specified for the plant
• Perform additional tasks as required to support production needs
• Ensure all activities align with the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and aim for continuous improvement

• Matric (Grade 12) with strong mathematical skills.
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Laminator Operator.
• Experience with different lamination techniques.
• Knowledge of setting up and maintaining lamination machines.
• Strong communication skills: ability to speak clearly, listen actively, and understand instructions
• Problem-solving ability: capable of identifying issues, applying logical reasoning, and making informed decisions
• Attention to detail: monitoring gauges, controlling equipment, and evaluating product quality
• Ability to follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
• Competence in following guidelines, organizing tasks, and collaborating effectively with team members
