We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven External Sales Representative to join our team in the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive products and a proven track record in sales. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
Identify and prospect new clients in the automotive industry, including dealerships, repair shops, and fleet management companies.
Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and customer loyalty.
Conduct regular client visits to assess needs, present product offerings, and close sales deals.
Sales and Revenue Generation:
Achieve and exceed sales targets by promoting and selling automotive products, parts, and services.
Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share and profitability in the assigned territory.
Prepare and present sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage the sales process from lead generation to closing.
Market Research and Analysis:
Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new opportunities.
Gather and report market intelligence, customer feedback, and sales data to management.
Provide insights and recommendations for product improvements and market positioning.
Customer Service and Support:
Offer excellent post-sales support, addressing any issues or concerns clients may have.
Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., customer service, logistics, and finance) to ensure timely delivery and fulfilment of orders.
Resolve customer complaints and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and sales forecasts.
Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and client feedback for management review.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Sales Representative in the automotive industry or a related field.
Strong knowledge of automotive products, services, and industry trends.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet sales targets.
Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with automotive parts and aftermarket sales.
Established network of contacts within the automotive industry.
Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs.
Education:
National Senior Certificate.
Remuneration Package:
16K – 20K Basic Salary
Commission based
