Overview:
Our client, a leading supplier of spices and other food ingredients, is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join their team. The primary purpose of this role is to gather and review timekeeping data, ensuring accurate and timely entry.
Responsibilities:
- Accurate capturing of all payroll related information
- Effective management of payroll related processes
- Ensuring the accuracy of earnings and deductions
- Ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time
- Providing information and answering employee questions about payroll-related matters
- Manage payroll related queries
- Managing electronic timekeeping systems / manually collecting and reviewing data
- Calculating payable hours (overtime, nightshift allowances, etc) Process all leave forms for all production staff, liaising with department heads re any issues
- Maintaining employee records
- Coordinating with departments to ensure correct employee data
- All Input relating to payroll processing
- Accurate processing of new and temporary employees, transfers, promotions, terminations, garnishees, overtime, bonuses payable and other payroll related services
- Perform monthly payroll processes (updating reports, checking and reconciling etc.)
- Complete, verify and process benefits forms and documentation (provident fund, leave etc.)
- Accurate capturing and processing of employee information
- Accurate and timeous submission of payroll reconciliations, queries, and reports to the Senior Payroll Administrator
- Advise staff on company policy and procedures where appropriate
- Assist with preparations for audits
- Ensuring the ERS Biometrics System operates smoothly and liaising with ERS to address any issues
- Ensure that all system software and maintenance of the ERS system are in order
- Process all pension fund exit forms as well as Death in Service paperwork –liaising with family members
- Monitor, ordering, distribution of stationary for all departments
Requirements:
- Matric or Grade 12
- 3 + years’ experience
- Understanding of payroll software
- Knowledge of SAGE software will be advantageous
- Understanding of payroll processes and procedures
- Factory experience
