Groups & Events Co-Ordinator / Reservationist – 4-Star Hotel, Cape Town

A well-established 4-star hotel in Cape Town is seeking a Groups & Events Co-Ordinator / Reservationist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reservations, excellent organizational skills, and experience handling group and event bookings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate group reservations, ensuring seamless communication with clients.
• Handle event bookings, including accommodation blocks, conference packages, and special requests.
• Process and confirm reservations efficiently using the hotel’s booking system.
• Liaise with the sales and operations teams to ensure smooth event execution.
• Maintain accurate records of bookings, contracts, and correspondence.
• Prepare quotes, contracts, and invoices for group and event reservations.
• Assist in maximizing revenue through effective yield and inventory management.
• Address client inquiries and provide professional assistance to enhance the guest experience.

Requirements:

• SA Citizen.
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in a reservations or events role within a 4- or 5-star hotel.
• Strong knowledge of hotel reservation systems and event coordination.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple bookings.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends or evenings as required.
