This role is for the formal on trade, calling on hotels, restaurants, on con outlets etc. The client is specifically interested in an individual who exemplifies collaborative and leadership teamwork, maintains a professional approach, and draws inspiration from creativity.

The Sales Representative will need to be based in Pretoria, covering Pretoria, Midrand, Muldersdrift and Bryanston

Duties & Responsibilities

Brand Availability and Sales Volumes:

  • Strategically attain channel-specific availability targets.
  • Ensure precise execution of brand availability across channels.
  • Elevate brand equity as a primary catalyst for all initiatives and engagements.
  • Innovate to amplify sales volume.
  • Channelize brand prioritization to maximize volume.

Promotions and Brand Visibility:

  • Execute promotions in alignment with brand equity standards.
  • Channelize promotions for optimal brand-channel synergy.
  • Implement the National Promotions Strategy meticulously.
  • Monitor and optimize promotion ROI.
  • Enhance brand visibility via imagery, displays and merchandising.

Operational Excellence:

  • Methodically administer and update call cycles.
  • Achieve 100% adherence to the call cycle.
  • Ensure accurate coding of all outlets.
  • Fulfil all requirements during representative calls.
  • Timely completion of administrative and reporting tasks.

Consumer Interaction:

  • Responsibly engage with consumers across all touchpoints.
  • Gather consumer data aligned with target demographics.
  • Relay consumer insights and expectations effectively.

Financial Asset Management:

  • Adhere to quantity and cycle discount parameters.
  • Prompt completion and submission of PODs and credit notes.
  • Maintain and upkeep company vehicles.
  • Manage vehicle mileage within budgetary limits.
  • Responsible handling of promotional stock.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • 3 Year Tertiary Education (Beneficial)
  • 2-3-Years Relevant experience - experience within FMCG / Food & Beverage, specifically in the HORECA/Formal On Trade channel.
  • Sales experience within the region specific to the role is required.
  • Product, service knowledge and understanding of category management
  • Knowledge of marketing and accounting principles
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to conceptualise and negotiate
  • Customer orientation
  • Sound interpersonal skills and creativity (big picture thinking)
  • Team player and ability to work independently using initiative
  • Comfortable to work weekend/ evenings
