Job Title: Admin Assistant (Inventory Control)

Our client, based in Howick, KZN, is seeking a detail-oriented Admin Assistant (Inventory Control) to support inventory management processes. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, have strong numerical and problem-solving skills, and be comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments.

Requirements:

  • Qualification in administration, accounting, inventory control, or warehouse management
  • Strong attention to detail, methodical approach, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong numeracy skills.
  • Prior experience in roles such as Admin Assistant, Stock Controller, or Stores Clerk would be beneficial.
  • Fully computer literate, with intermediate-level proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Experience with SAP or MS Business Central is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work in a cold room environment and occasionally on weekends or public holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Finished Goods Inventory Controller with daily stock control and variance checks.
  • Complete stock transfers using SAP and Business Central.
  • Monitor and verify finished goods stock reports.
  • Manage transactions in the stock control software (Cquential).
  • Conduct and assist with daily, weekly, and monthly stock takes.
  • Investigate and resolve any stock count variances.
  • Liaise with the Production and Accounting departments to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Perform stock reconciliation between WMS, Business Central, and SAP.
  • Provide general DC-related administrative support as required.
