My client is currently seeking an Accountant to join their dynamic team and play a pivotal role in managing financial processes, reporting, and analysis.

This role is based in Sandton, Johannesburg North.

Key Responsibilities:

• Month-End Close: Process journal entries and ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end tasks.
• Reconciliations and Analysis: Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and analyze income statements for variances.
• Intercompany Transactions: Balance intercompany loans and prepare monthly Group charges and invoicing for subsidiaries.
• VAT and Payments: Prepare VAT submissions for support services and process foreign payments.
• Reporting:
• Assist with flash reporting, monthly accounts reporting, and quarterly reporting.
• Perform budget vs. actual variance analysis and provide insights to management.
• Forecasts and Budgets: Assist in the preparation and analysis of forecasts and budgets.
• Audit Support: Address internal and external audit queries with accuracy and efficiency.
• Departmental Support: Collaborate with departmental management to resolve queries and provide financial guidance.

Requirements:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3 years experience as an Accountant
• Strong experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
