Gallery Director

This role requires expertise in navigating public, non-profit, and commercial sectors of the art world. The Gallery Director will be responsible for leading the commercial strategy, managing a dynamic team, engaging with various stakeholders, and working closely with the Gallery Curator and leadership team to ensure the gallery's vision and mission are realized in all its endeavors.

Candidate requirements:

• Academic background in humanities or proven long-term professional experience in the art world.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a managerial role in a cultural space with a proven ability to implement successful commercial strategies.
• Must have working proficiency in Microsoft Office and ideally knowledge of working with a CRM system.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with the Gallery Curator and senior leadership on conceptualizing exhibitions, events, and partnerships.
• Overseeing the implementation of the gallerys local and international schedules, including exhibitions, collaborations, art fairs, and client events.
• Developing and executing an annual commercial and marketing strategy with clear sales targets, forecasting, and competitor analysis to support the gallerys commercial growth.
