[ref. t2107521] Procurement Operations Manager - Pretoria

Deloitte is currently looking for a Procurement Operations Manager to join one of our clients on a 12 month contract engagement.

Purpose:

To provide managerial leadership and direction to the tactical buying, procurement administration and travel teams within the Procurement Division of the client and its subsidiaries.

Objectives:

1. To lead and manage day-to-day operations of the section including; travel services, procurement service desk, tactical buying as well as vendor and catalogue masterdata management.
2. To manage and enhance relationships between the section and relevant internal and external stakeholders
3. To analyse and integrate management information relating to the sections for reporting to the top management and stakeholders.
4. To manage the procurement of goods and services in accordance with the Procurement Policy and relevant guidelines, ensuring good governance.
5. To ensure continuous improvement of the delivery and functioning of the operations section within the procurement division.
6. To manage all tactical buying and travel related risks
7. To analyse spend and demand in order to formulate and implement tactical category strategy.
8. To collaborate and liaise with the Legal Services Department (LSD) for the reviewing and administering of contracts.
9. To collaborate and liaise with the strategic sourcing and governance sections to optimise the procurement and governance process.
10. To manage the performance and development of staff in the section, provide technical coaching and guidance as well as motivate the team to deliver results

Formal Qualifications/Education:

ï‚· A minimum of a B Degree in Commerce, Supply Chain Management OR equivalent

ï‚· Post graduate qualification (wish).

ï‚· Relevant professional certification

Job Related Work Experience:

ï‚· A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Tactical Buying OR Supply Chain Management Environment

ï‚· Management experience is a requirement for this position.
