Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Educational Background:

• A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Certifications:

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator Associate
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
• CompTIA Network+ or CompTIA Server+

Experience:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, system administration, or a related area.
• Hands-on experience with server hardware and operating systems (Linux, Windows Server, Blades, Standalone).
• Experience setting up, configuring, and managing network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Veeam.
• Hands-on experience with Firewalls (FortiGate).
• Expertise in managing LAN, WAN, SAN, VPN (SSL/IPSEC) networks.
• Proven experience in IT Security (FortiGate Firewalls on-premise and cloud, Kaspersky Endpoint Security, MFA, Bitlocker, ZScaler) and acting as the point of contact for penetration testing.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, IP addressing, and subnetting.
• Proficiency in setting up and managing cloud infrastructure platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
• Understanding of security protocols, VPNs, and encryption techniques.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Advanced knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with ITSM principles (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
• Experience managing both private and public DNS records.
• Windows Server administrative experience with tools such as DNS, DHCP, GPO, and Active Directory.
• Strong experience working with Windows 11, Windows Server 2016, and Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with VOIP and Hosted PBX systems.
