Our Client, a highly reputable Global Manufacturing concern is currently in search of a financially astute, highly assertive and results orientated finance professional to join their dynamic team of finance professionals.

Main Purpose of the role:
You will support and form part of the financial leadership in driving and managing the Company's finances in line with the overall Group Company strategic objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
People Management:
- Manage the Financial team/s ensuring fair allocation of workload.
- Manage the delivery of operational activities of staff.
- Provide input and feedback from performance reviews and assist in improving staff's performance.
- Schedule staff leave and maintain staff records.
- Supervise, teach and motivate the team.
- Take responsibility for staff work, induction and on-job training.
Education and Training:
- Assist with the training within the company in relation to financial responsibilities, both on-the-job and through participation in workshops and discussion groups.
- Coach non-financial managers on interpreting and communicating financial data
Strategy Formulation/Financial Management:
- Assist with the development of Company Policy and developing Company Financial Strategic Plans.
- Provide input to key strategic decisions and formulation of business strategies and input to improve business performance.
- Responsible for providing leadership, direction and management of the finance team/s.
- Implement and maintain the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting within the Company.
- Ensure effective communication with the Board Members on the financial forecasts and operating revenue.
- Advise on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions.
- Provide assistance and advice to departments and staff regarding general budgeting and financial reporting needs, including business plans, costing and pricing proposals, etc.
- Manage and assist with the preparation, consolidation and review of strategy, plans and budgets for the division and each branch (Operational and Capex).
Analysis, Evaluation and Group Reporting:
- Identify and report financial irregularities and ensure potential problems are reported to the Finance Executive.
- Maintain an up to date general ledger.
- Prepare and sign off periodic financial statements including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and obtain input and commentary on performance, progress and reasons for variances.
- Prepare and distribute all reports required on time.
Risk and Compliance:
- Adhere to all SOP's, policies and procedures.
- Implement corporate governance procedures, risk management and internal control.
- Keep to and meet all deadlines or due dates.
- Ensure that an orderly accounting filing system for all documents is maintained and updated.
- Perform investigations regarding effectiveness and/or efficiencies within the Accounts --Department and branches and formulate proposals for improvement.
- Review the management and implementation of the costing and pricing and ensure Customer/Supplier Contracts and ensure efficiency.
- Ensure the finance department runs efficiently and as planned.
- Maintain a project list that is delegated and on track to meet their deadlines.
- Compare Project Feasibility to Actual Outcome to identify short comings and achievements.
- Responsible for financial compliance with SARS and their respective requirements.
- Manage the audit process, ensuring sound financial practice at all times.
- Identify and research financial information for audit purposes and financial reporting.
- Comply with the necessary Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
- Food Safety and Hygiene
Qualification and Experience required:
- Qualified CA(SA)
- 8-10 Years post qualification experience as a Financial Manager
- Experience gained within the Manufacturing / FMCG industry
- Proficiency on MS Office suite (Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Proven people management and leadership skills with the ability to strategically plan and manage talent
