Qualification and Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Metallurgical, or Process Engineering (postgraduate qualification beneficial).
- 3+ years of experience in mining, industrial processing, or process control operations.
- Data analytics experience, including working with SQL, Python, Power BI, and industrial data platforms (e.g., historians).
- Strong background in process control, optimization, and automation within industrial settings.
- Experience with process monitoring, PID control loop tuning, Model Predictive Control (MPC), and industrial instrumentation.
Key Performance Areas:
Process Monitoring & Performance Analysis- Continuously monitor, analyse, and diagnose process performance using advanced analytics tools and control system diagnostics.
- Utilize SQL, Python, and Power BI for data extraction, visualization, and performance reporting.
- Quickly learn and apply predictive analytics tools to anticipate and prevent process issues.
- Ensure base layer control health, including PID tuning, process stability, and control loop performance monitoring.
- Identify and troubleshoot inefficiencies in advanced process control (APC) strategies and provide optimization recommendations.
- Leverage industry experience to identify process bottlenecks and optimization opportunities across the mining value chain.
- Establish a deep understanding of customer business and technical needs, providing tailored process monitoring insights.
- Conduct weekly and bi-weekly monitoring meetings, presenting performance reports and driving corrective actions.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor, ensuring alignment between process optimization strategies and client objectives.
- Manage customer expectations and satisfaction, ensuring clear communication on system performance and issue resolution.
- Track and manage open performance cases, ensuring timely resolution of identified issues.
- Compile and deliver detailed reports on process performance, control effectiveness, and recommended improvements.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts in process control, process optimization, and asset performance management.
- Work closely with internal engineering and product teams to continuously enhance monitoring tools and methodologies.
- Support and maintain remote monitoring solutions, troubleshooting performance deviations across multiple client sites.
- Contribute to multi-generational product plans, helping to improve digital process monitoring tools and analytics software.
- Identify trends and insights that can enhance predictive analytics models and automation solutions.
- Provide feedback to product managers and developers to drive competitive and technological advancements in process monitoring.

- Data Analysis & Visualization – Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Power BI to analyse process trends and generate insights.
- Problem-Solving – Ability to diagnose and resolve complex process performance issues using advanced analytics.
- Interpersonal & Communication Skills – Strong ability to engage with clients, present technical findings, and build long-term relationships.
- Project & Case Management – Experience in tracking and closing process-related cases to ensure performance improvements.
- Industry Knowledge – Familiarity with mining process operations, control system diagnostics, and predictive maintenance strategies.
