Our client, a highly successful and respected manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee their production operations. If you are trade-tested in Mechanical, Electrical, or Millwright disciplines and have experience in batch manufacturing, particularly in the glass or plastic industry, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
Production Management:
- Implement and manage production schedules to meet customer demands.
- Coordinate activities across departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Optimise resource allocation (personnel, equipment, materials) for maximum efficiency.
- Monitor and adjust production workflows to address bottlenecks or delays.
- Analyse production processes to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
- Conduct root cause analysis of issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate production records and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of supervisors and production staff.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and foster a positive work environment.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and teamwork.
- Train and mentor team members, ensuring high performance and adherence to quality standards.
Health & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with organisational health and safety standards.
- Identify and report safety hazards, incidents, and near misses.
Quality Assurance:
- Uphold the company’s quality principles and standards.
- Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Reporting & Administration:
- Prepare and manage production reports and related administrative tasks.
- Communicate effectively across departments to maintain transparency and alignment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Trade Test
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Production Manager role within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong background in batch manufacturing, ideally within the glass or plastic sector.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
