Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join an Audit team as an Audit Trainee. The successful candidate will be a recent graduate with a completed SAICA-accredited degree in Accounting, and will be responsible for assisting in the conduct of audits and providing support to the audit team.

Minimum requirements:

• Assist in the planning, execution, and completion of audits in accordance with professional standards and regulations.
• Conduct desk research and analyze financial statements, accounting records, and other relevant documents to identify potential issues.
• Identify and record audit findings and recommendations.
• Conduct fieldwork, including observations and testing of transactions.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of auditing standards, laws, and regulations.
• Collaborate with senior auditors and team members to ensure effective audit planning and execution.
• Participate in audit meetings and discussions to ensure effective communication and resolution of issues.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of audit work performed.
• Develop and maintain a professional relationship with clients and other stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Completed SAICA-accredited degree in Accounting or related field.
• Strong understanding of auditing standards and principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working toward a professional certification in Accounting (e.g. CA(SA), CTA, etc).
