Info Personnel - Winder Electrician

Qualifications and experience:

• Minimum qualifications and requirements:
• Grade 12/N3 Electrical Engineering
• Electrical Trade Test
• 2-3 Years in an Underground mining environment
• Must have own transport and valid drivers license.
• First Aid Certificate
• Good general health AND a certificate of fitness (Red Ticket)

Duties and responsibilities:

• Ensure that good standard of safety awareness is maintained.
• Maintenance and fault finding on winding systems, ventilation equipment and general electrical and instrumentation installations, Schindler elevators, overhead cranes, including legal duties.
• Ensure that section personnel comply with the required Health and Safety and Environmental standards.
• Ensure good housekeeping standards and maintained.
• Daily, Weekly and Monthly inspections to be done.
• Electrical maintenance on all machinery
• Must be able to work overtime when required
• Sound planning (time management), and organisational abilities
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize.
• Good customer and interpersonal skills
• Ability to function on your own and within a team.
• Independent, self-motivated, proactive thinking
• Ability to communicate in English (written & verbal) and one other official language.
