Senior Application Engineer

Requirements:

• 2-3 year of Application Engineering experience in the centrifugal slurry pump industry.
• 2-4 years managing a technical team.
• B.Eng Mechanical or Metallurgical Degree or Chemical or Process Engineering or BTec Mechanical or Chemical or Process Engineering or Metallurgical

Responsibilities:

• Validate and approved proposals on a daily basis.
• Manage all documents and trackers for all application engineering-related activities.
• Compile the induction/training plan for all new engineers within the Technical Sales Department this includes the generation of documents and presentations for all technical and departmental training.
• Manage all departmental assets this includes the procurement of tools and weekly/monthly checks on company vehicles.
• Provide 2 weekly feedback on all trials this includes the writing of the trial report for management.
• Facilitate and take ownership of the warranty claim process this includes the investigation with the appropriate application engineer.
• Join application engineers and sales reps on-site, 2-3 days a week to assist with problematic
• Applications and/or poor pump performance (CURVE, Battlemax and Black Widow).
• Guide and lead application engineers in all site activities.
• Facilitate and drive all improvements and improvement projects within application engineering.
• Report back to the Sales HOD on the status of current improvement projects or the initiation of possible new improvements to be made (process, equipment, resources, etc.).
• Shortlisting, interviewing and appointing of new application engineers.
