Houst requires the services of an experienced financial manager or an ambitious financial accountant. The ideal candidate should have an eye for detail and ability to manage a team. You should expect to manage all of our jurisdictions compliance, reporting and forecasting.
While being open to team and departmental collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a degree in the financial field and possess a professional designation (SAICA, SAIPA or similar). Houst offers the exposure to a growing and scaling company with a worldwide footprint, in a fast paced environment.

You will also be guided and mentored by our experienced Finance Director.

Key tasks include, but not limited to:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in accordance with [GAAP/IFRS/Local Standards].
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial reporting, including P&L statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and equity statements.
  • Manage the consolidation of financial statements for multi-entity organisations.
  • Support the preparation of management and board-level financial reports.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Filings: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations.
  • Coordinate with external accountants across the globe, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial data.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of statutory financial reports and tax filings.
  • Financial Controls & Process Improvement: Implement and maintain financial reporting controls and procedures to ensure data integrity.
  • Continuously assess reporting processes for improvement opportunities and increased efficiency.
  • Lead initiatives to automate and enhance reporting systems.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the budgeting process by providing accurate financial data and insights.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A team to develop and track financial forecasts.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to ensure accurate data flow and alignment of financial information.
  • Provide financial insights and guidance to support decision-making by senior management.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (SAICA, SAIPA or similar qualification preferred).
  • Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with financial consolidation and multi-entity reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial management software is a plus (Xero).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Experience working with external auditors and managing external processes.
