Freight Forwarding Operations Manager - Dangerous Goods Logistics

RPO Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Freight Forwarding Operations Manager specializing in Dangerous Goods Logistics for a prominent logistics company. This role requires extensive knowledge and experience in managing the logistics and operational processes related to hazardous materials while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire freight forwarding operation involving dangerous goods, ensuring compliance with international regulations and safety standards.
• Coordinate logistics activities including transportation, storage, and handling of hazardous materials.
• Manage a team of logistics personnel, providing training and support in handling dangerous goods.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers, clients, and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor shipment status and address any issues or complications that arise.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure proper emergency response procedures are in place.

• Proven experience as an Operations Manager in freight forwarding, focusing on dangerous goods logistics.
• Thorough understanding of regulations and compliance standards related to hazardous materials.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and regulatory authorities.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a relevant field is preferred.
• Certification in dangerous goods handling is highly desirable.
