Junior Quantity Surveyor

Hire Resolve is excited to announce an opportunity for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our client's vibrant team in Stellenbosch.

This role offers a chance to work on diverse projects in a beautiful location while gaining valuable experience in the quantity surveying field.

• Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects.
• Conduct quantity take-offs from project drawings and specifications.
• Support project teams in monitoring progress and managing financial variances.
• Participate in site visits to assess project developments and financial performance.
• Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations.
• Maintain accurate records of project costs, transactions, and changes.
• Contribute to the preparation of contract documentation and tender submissions.

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in quantity surveying specifically with a Quantity Surveying firm (candidates with experience only in construction firms will not be considered).
• Familiarity with quantity surveying software (e.g., Candy, WinQS) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a strong grasp of building regulations and standards.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

• Salary: Negotiable
