Safety Officer (3 month contract)

Our client, a leading company in the pet food manufacturing industry, is seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to join their team on a 3-month contract basis. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in safety management, preferably with experience in construction or manufacturing environments.
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma in Safety Management or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry.
- Registered with SACPCMP (South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions).
- HIRA Training (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment).
- Incident Investigation Training.
- Strong knowledge of OHS legislation and compliance practices.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across the site.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits.
- Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Implement and maintain HSE policies and procedures.
- Promote a strong safety culture among all employees.
