Data Scientist/ Data Analyst (TSQL & Audit Exp) – Johannesburg – R800k to R1,2mil per annum

The main purpose of the role is to create and facilitate appropriate access to data for key stakeholders and creating visibility for the business, while you thrive in a dynamic culture of inclusion, collaboration and high performance.

Responsibilities:

• Change management mind-set, has to be able to adjust to different organizational levels
• Ability to prioritize and run multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to communicate at different levels of the organization and report to senior audiences.
• Modelling of complex business problems.
• Identifying opportunities to improve business processes.
• Building tailor made SQL solutions for monitoring and automation of controls.
• Utilising Store procedures to create routines that maintain reporting and automated controls.
• Identify and build appropriate models/other solutions for use in the company''s operations.
• Creating logic links between data from various systems to facilitate cross system reporting.
• Automation of controls in the business processes.
• Design and implement automated data comparisons to trigger certain processes.
• Simplifying complex manual processes into simple automated processes.
• Engaging with stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors Degree/Hons in Computer science/Math/engineering/Accounting
• 3-5 years experience as a data scientist/data analyst.
• Specialisation in T-SQL
• Experience in automation of processes an advantage
• 3 years operating at a manager level.
• Audit, especially big four audit firm experience will be an advantage
• Ability to engage at a leadership level with local and global stakeholders.
• Proven track record of attending OPSCO/EXCO/other forums and presenting at these
